This year, our “Celebration of California Wine & Food,” benefiting student scholarships, includes a reception in Greystone’s historic barrel room which houses the Vintners Hall of Fame, followed by a walk-around dinner in the CIA’s teaching kitchens. Meet past inductees, fellow wine lovers and 120 up and coming sommeliers attending the college’s first annual CIA Sommelier Summit, April 26–28.

Visiting the Vintners Hall of Fame

Located in the historic Barrel Room in the Greystone main building, the Hall of Fame is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and admission is free. Be sure to see:

  • The Hall of Fame Honorees Exhibit
    Bronze sculptures—crafted by renowned artist Lawrence Newlan—and biographies of the inductees are displayed on the 2,200-gallon redwood wine barrels.
  • The David and Judy Breitstein Collection
    “A History of California Wine: The David and Judy Breitstein Collection” documents the rich heritage of the industry as told through rare bottles. Curated by CIA Wine Studies Chair Karen MacNeil, the collection displays about 40 of the 150 bottles at any one time.
